CES 2010 – Laptops and Notebooks
Lenovo IdeaPad U1 Hybrid
The showcase feature of the U1–the undocking of its 11.6-inch screen to become its own handheld Qualcomm Snapdragon-powered tablet–is accomplished via a pin dock at the base of the screen that activates Wndows 7 when attached, or turns on Lenovo’s Skylight Linux-based OS when detached. Separate batteries and Wi-Fi antennas are contained in both the base and the tablet screen, while the tablet has the 3G and Bluetooth antennas, as well as speakers and a webcam.
Sony’s new Vaio Y series
Sony’s new Vaio Y series (available with ULV processors) is 1.2 inches thick and weighs around 4.2 pounds, making it plenty thin but also a bit on the heavy side for a thin 13-inch laptop.
High-end 13-inch Sony Vaio Z
The Vaio Z weighs just over 3 pounds, & some configurations include a similar high-end “100 percent color saturation” display as found in the Vaio X. Also available is a Blu-ray drive and 3G mobile broadband antenna, which requires Verizon service. With SSD hard drive, up to 512GB Sony, says the Z series will retail for about $1,830
Sony’s multimedia powerhouse: The 16-inch Vaio F Series
It features a 16.4-inch 1080p display, & is one of the only laptops to offer an optional Blu-ray recordable drive, as opposed to the usual play-only drives. Graphics come from Nvidia’s GeForce GT300M chip, and the CPU on the three preconfigured builds we saw was the very high-end Intel Core i7 720QM. The F Series will start at around $1,000 !
Toshiba’s T100 series / AMD Neo processors
Toshiba’s CES updates to the T100 line include AMD Neo processors, offering what Toshiba says will be more computing power for a similar price. Graphics power by ATI Radeon 3200 HD processor, video streaming and HD playback should be improved in the new T100s. The entire T100 line used single and dual-core Pentium ULV processors, which perform better than Atoms but worse than Core 2 Duos.
HP Mini 5102
Mini 5102 It’s a 10-inch system, with 1,024×600 and 1,366×768 displays resolution, Optional HD video accelerator, as well as mobile broadband and Intel Atom N450 and N470 CPUs. It may be of interest to only a small subsection of buyers, but a capacitive multitouch display will also be offered. 7,200 rpm Hard drives, come in 160, 250, and 320GB versions, as well as 80 and 120 GB SSD options.
Acer/Gateway LT21 Netbook with the Intel Atom N450
Acer/Gateway is smartly combining Intel’s new Atom N450 Netbook processor with lowest Netbook price: $299. The new Gateway LT21 is a 10-inch 1,024×600-pixel Netbook, with a large six-cell battery in either “Extended” (5600mAh) or “Standard” (4400mAh) , inclusion of 802.11n Wi-Fi (in select models), basic multitouch gestures on the touch pad.
HP’s TouchSmart tm2
TouchSmart tm2 convertible tablet laptops from HP, have screens that rotate 180 degrees to fold down over their keyboards, have never been a mainstream product, there’s a certain appeal to using the multitouch touch-screen features, and carrying them around in your arm like an oversize Kindle. With a standard Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, optional discrete ATI graphics, and Windows 7, the HP TouchSmart tm2 will be available January 7, starting at $949.
Mini 102 and Mini 210, HP’s Netbooks
These 10.1-inch notebook will include the new Intel Atom N450 CPU, along with a redesigned island-style keyboard. Starting at only $299, which is what we like to see from basic Netbooks, you can trade up to more RAM, a biggerHDD, or an optional HD video accelerator.
HP’s Mini 2102 / business-consumer Netbook
The Mini 2102 is available in only basic black, will have Intel Atom N450 and N4470 processors , 160, 250, or 320GB 7,200rpm hard drives, 10-inch display is stuck at 1,024×600-pixel resolution,
Asus R.O.G. G73Jh ( “Republic of Gamers”)
The new Asus R.O.G. G73Jh (as in “Republic of Gamers”) inspired by the Lockheed F117A Nighthawk Stealth Fighter,” according to the company, use an Intel Core i7 processor and built-in overclocking to tear up your frame rates on hardware-intensive games. Asus says this is the first DirectX 11-compatible gaming laptop. Asus ROG G73Jh use a single ATI Radeon HD5870 to power its graphics, 17.3-inch display, with a full 1,920 x 1,080 resolution, Dual 7200rpm 500GB drives / 1TB of storage, and a Blu-ray drive. Price will start at $1,699 and be available in February.
Asus EeeKeyboard PC ( Netbook inside wireless keyboard )
EeeKeyboard PC, has a built-in 5-inch multitouch secondary display and connects wirelessly to a nearby display is virtually latency free & ideal for gaming and multimedia use (Atom CPU aside), built-in secondary display screen (with an 800×480-pixel resolution) – Intel Atom N270 CPU, 1GB of RAM, 16GB or 32GB of SSD hard-drive , and Windows XP.
Asus Eee PC 1008P
With 10-inch displays and N450 CPUs, the new 1008P, has a brand new look, created by industrial designer Karim Rashid. The Asus Eee PC 1008P has a 10.1-inch 1,024×600 LED backlit display, Windows 7 Home Premium, 1GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, Bluetooth, and a three-cell li-polymer removable battery.
Asus NX90 … Asus Bang & Olufsen ICEpower)
The NX90, laser-cut polished aluminum surface, has an Intel Core i7 CPU (either 7200QM or 8200QM), an 18-inch 1080p display, an Nvidia GeForce GT 335M graphics card, dual hard drives, and a Blu-ray drive. The Asus NX90 will start at $1,999. The new concept is that you would use the two touch pads, one with each hand, to control the laptop in new ways. Asus says the touch pads “provide users with an intuitive DJ-like control,” & work with Microsoft’s Windows 7 multitouch gesture controls.
HP Pavilion dv6-2170us
The 15.6-inch HP Pavilion dv6-2170us comes with a 2.26GHz Intel Core i5-430M processor that is advertised as automatically overclocking to 2.53GHz via Intel’s Turbo boost technology. This feat is not possible with laptops packing the Core i3 chip, which doesn’t feature Turbo Boost. The Core i5 and i3 are the first Intel laptop processors to combine two processor cores and a graphics function in one chip package. Prices of the new HP Pavilion typically range from $900 to $920
Lenovo Skylight smartbook
With a 10.1-inch screen, it is much thinner than nearly any Netbook. With built-in 3G a& Wi-Fi, Lenovo promises a seamless browsing experience. The OS it’s a Linux-based custom OS with “web gadgets” for accessing functions such as Gmail & Facebook. Ports: 2 USB (1 in a strange flip-jack form), SD and micro-SDHC card slots, a SIM card slot, and even mini-HDMI. 20 GB of flash memory are included, plus 2GB of Lenovo cloud storage.
Lenovo IdeaCentre A300
With 21.5-inch LCD (non-touch-screen), the IdeaCentre A300 sheds most of the iMac-inspired conventions of all-in-one design. The CPU, RAM, and hard drive all live in the base (where options include Intel Dual Core Pentium & Core 2 Duo chips, and up to a 500GB HDD and 4GB of RAM), and, as you might expect, the screen swivels around on its post.
Lenovo ThinkPad Edge
Ttech Spec: Lossy 13″ LED screen, with a 1,366×768-pixel resolution, 4GB of RAM, a U7300 Intel Core 2 ULV (or dual-core AMD processor), 320GB hard drive, 8 hours of battery life, three USB ports, an HDMI port, VGA, and a memory card reader.
ThinkPad X100e – Netbook for professionals
Starting at $449, the ThinkPad X100e doesn’t feature an Intel Atom processor–rather, you have your choice of AMD Athlon Neo (single / dual-core) or Turion dual-core CPUs. Notably, this is the first ThinkPad to use an AMD CPUs. Other features include ATI Radeon 3200 HD graphics, an 11.6-inch 1366×768 display, three USB ports, 802.11n, and optional Bluetooth/3G.

SONY IS DAMN GOOD I FINALY FEEL THAT I GOT A LAPTOP MUCH BETTER THEN HP AND APPLE AND ASUS
